hey there!

I'm Madds

My approach to weddings is shaped by everything I’m naturally drawn to — beautiful architecture, thoughtful design, fashion, movement, travel and the kind of imagery that could live just as comfortably in the pages of a magazine as it could framed in your home decades from now.

Having experienced my own wedding has only deepened the way I see them. I know how quickly the day moves, how much thought goes into every decision, and how unexpectedly meaningful the smallest moments can become once it’s all over. It’s why I care just as much about how your wedding felt as how it looked.

The result is imagery that feels editorial yet honest, refined yet full of life. Photographs with movement, emotion and intention; created to feel timeless now, and even more valuable as the years pass.

Based in Queensland and always happy to travel, I’m incredibly lucky to document celebrations in beautiful places throughout Australia and beyond.

“Believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”

Rainer Maria Rilke

My approach

REFINED IMAGERY, WITHOUT TAKING YOU AWAY FROM THE MOMENT.

My approach is a balance of observation and intention — documenting your wedding as it naturally unfolds, while knowing when a little direction can turn a beautiful moment into something extraordinary.

I’m drawn to imagery that feels effortless, emotive and considered. The kind of photographs that capture the energy of the room, the movement of a dress, the architecture surrounding you, the details you spent months choosing and, most importantly, the people at the heart of it all.

Throughout your day, there will be moments where I simply step back and observe. The way your parents look at you during the ceremony. Your friends laughing over champagne. A hand reaching for another beneath the table. The beautiful chaos of a dance floor late in the evening.

And then there are moments where I’ll gently step in.

I’ll find the light, consider the composition, straighten a veil, suggest movement or give you enough direction that you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. Nothing rigid or overly posed — just thoughtful guidance that allows you to relax into the moment while giving your photographs that refined, editorial quality.

Because the most beautiful images happen somewhere between carefully considered and completely unplanned.
